Heka Dental is a guest at the Dentists Skt. Anne Plads in the centre of Odense and talks to dentist and pratice owner, Raouf, about their latest unit, a HEKA S+ and the collaboration with Fyns Dental.
Raouf took over the practice on 1 January 2024 and wanted to expand with another practice room to reach a total of 4 rooms. Therefore, they started a collaboration with Mikael from Fyns Dental. The previous owners had a good working relationship with Fyns Dental, so for Raouf it was an obvious decision to continue the collaboration and elaborates: ‘It's been great, really great... Mikael was really nice and I was happy with the price and dependability and the planning he did.’ The job was solved in the best possible way with a brand new, beautiful design and also with regard to ‘the deadline we had to meet’.
Raouf is excited about the new possibilities that HEKA S+ gives him in his daily work and is curious to get to know the features better. It gives him a much better sense of intuitive use.
Patients also often give their opinion, especially about the patient chair: ‘they say it's a very comfortable chair’. For Raouf himself, sitting at the chair has also had a positive impact, as its ergonomic design has helped him overcome a back problem. In general, the unit's ergonomic solutions help him to work better. Raouf is particularly pleased with the spring suspension. He points out that the way the springs help support the weight of the instrument has a beneficial effect: ‘it can have a big impact when you sit with it all day’.
The dental assistant is ‘really happy with this cleaning system... for the suction.’ Raouf also emphasises the Faro surgical lamp for its excellent light and good positioning options and "it's a really nice idea with the mirror ’ (the reversible mirror at the front of the lamp).

In the long term, Raouf would like to standardise the practiceby installing a HEKA S+ in the other three treatment rooms, where there are currently two older HEKA units and one unit of a different brand. ‘The plan is that the furniture we have now will be exactly the same.’
