Impilo acquires HEKA Dental

New owner of HEKA

The Danish manufacturer of dental units HEKA Dental is getting a new owner. With Impilo as its new owner, the company will continue its development as a strong Danish dental brand with international reach.

HEKA Dental A/S, a Danish designer and manufacturer of dental units, has been acquired by Impilo. With the change of ownership, HEKA gains a new owner that will support the company’s continued innovation, growth and international development. HEKA’s owner, Thomas Steen Nielsen is reinvesting in the company alongside Impilo and will therefore continue to hold a minority ownership stake.

HEKA Dental was founded in 1965 and is headquartered in Taastrup. The company is known for dental units focused on high quality, Danish design, operational reliability and ergonomics. HEKA’s treatment units are individually manufactured to suit the clinic’s and the individual team’s needs.

Today, HEKA has an installed base of more than 12,500 units and sells its solutions through a broad international dealer network. The company has in recent years launched new solutions such as HEKA S+, HEKA G+ and HEKA+ patient chairs.

“HEKA is a company with a strong history, talented employees and products that dentists and clinics have great confidence in. With Impilo, we gain an owner that shares the ambition to develop HEKA for the long term and invest in innovation, product development and our international position,” says Asbjørn Nielsen, CEO of HEKA Dental.

HEKA will continue as an independent brand with unchanged products, contact persons and day-to-day operations. Customers, dealers and suppliers will therefore continue to work with the same agreements and contact persons.
