UNIC 5 was the first commercial unit from Heka. UNIC 5 was in production from 1986 until the late 1980’s.
In 1986, Heka Dental introduced UNIC 5, which was launched at Scandefa, a leading Danish Dental Trade Fair at the time.
UNIC 5 quickly became a big success in Denmark, Sweden, Norway, and Finland.
UNIC 5 includes many of the features that you will also find on current Heka dental treatment centers. E.g., a round foot control which can be operated from all angles, individual, spring balanced instruments and not least a solid construction in cast aluminium.
Naturally the technology and materials used in current models are up to today’s standard, but the ground principles on how to build a solid, durable dental unit are still the same.
