HOW WE HELP
Dental Health Without Borders is a Danish NGO dedicated to improving life opportunities for children in some of the world’s poorest countries through better dental health.
Toothaches make it difficult for children to focus on school. While it might seem like a simple issue, it is a harsh reality for many children in the world’s poorest regions. We are establishing sustainable dental development projects to ensure happier and healthier children. By alleviating toothaches, children can better concentrate on their studies, leading to improved academic performance and a brighter future.
Our programs teach school children how to care for their teeth through daily toothbrushing routines in schools. We collaborate with local NGOs and involve teachers, parents, health workers, and dental professionals to create sustainable health models that can be maintained locally.
We also engage in dialogue with policymakers to advocate for school-based dental care at national and regional levels. Through our research and results, we demonstrate to politicians the substantial benefits of incorporating dental care and prevention into national health strategies.
